Kevin Feige spoke at a Guardians of the Galaxy set tour that Thanks will play a big part in Avengers: Infinity War.

“Thanos in Infinity War is – in a movie that has a lot of characters, you could almost go so far as to say he is the main character, and that’s a bit of a departure from what we’ve done before, but that was appropriate for a movie called Infinity War.Thanos in Infinity War is – in a movie that has a lot of characters, you could almost go so far as to say he is the main character, and that’s a bit of a departure from what we’ve done before, but that was appropriate for a movie called Infinity War.”

This is good news, if they do it right. Marvel makes great movies, but they all have one common problem, (mostly) they don’t have good villains. Almost none of the Marvel villains are memorable, save for Loki. I really hope that they do it right with Thanos.

He’s been teased for the past 5 years since the post-credits scene in Avengers. It’s great to hear that he’ll finally have his time to shine in the Avengers movie directed by the Russo brothers.

I’m really curious to see their take on it, because they are used to doing more realistic and grounded Marvel movies. It’ll be interesting to see their approach to a more sci-fi theme to a movie.

Feige says that Thanos could be the “main character” of Infinity War, but I think he means that he will have a good bit of time compared to the Hugh cast of the movie. So, don’t expect to see the entire movie from Thanos’s perspective.
